The role

What a Software Developer (Go) does at Innovate Solution

We are looking for a Go developer who enjoys fast, reliable backend systems. You will design, build and run Go services that search, price and book flights and hotels across GDS, NDC and hotel-supplier APIs, and that travel businesses rely on every day. You will work on-site in our Dhaka office with the Engineering & Platform team, alongside our PHP, React and product teams.

What you will do

  • Design, build and maintain high-performance backend services and REST / gRPC APIs in Go
  • Integrate airline and hotel supplier APIs (GDS, NDC, bed banks) — JSON and XML/SOAP — and normalise their data
  • Make services fast and reliable: profiling, concurrency, Redis caching and efficient MySQL queries
  • Write tests, take part in code reviews and keep code clean and documented
  • Monitor production services, investigate incidents and fix root causes
  • Work with product, QA, PHP and React developers to ship features end to end

Who we are looking for

01Strong in Go — goroutines, channels, context, error handling and the standard library
02Experienced with REST APIs and JSON; comfortable with XML/SOAP integrations
03Solid with SQL / MySQL and Redis
04Comfortable with concurrency, performance tuning and profiling (pprof)
05Used to Git, Linux and Docker; you write tests as part of the job
06Able to read other people's code and explain your own clearly in English
07Interested in travel technology — GDS / NDC or booking-engine experience is a strong plus
08Willing to work on-site at our Dhaka office

What experience do I need for the Software Developer – Golang (Go) role?

Professional experience building backend services in Go is preferred. Strong backend developers coming from another language (PHP, Java, Node.js, Python…) who are moving to Go are also considered. The challenges adapt to your experience — experienced developers get system-design, resilience and track-record questions.

Where is the role based? Is remote possible?

The role is on-site at the Innovate Solution office in Dhaka (House: E2, Unit: 4, Block: E, Eastern Housing, Pallabi 2nd Phase, Rupnagar, Dhaka 1216), in the Engineering & Platform team. It is not a remote role.

What will I work on?

Go services and APIs for travel booking — flight and hotel search, pricing and booking flows, and integrations with airline and hotel suppliers (GDS, NDC and hotel-supplier APIs) — together with caching, databases, testing and production monitoring.

What is the application like?

About 20 minutes: your profile, CV and photo, an optional GitHub or portfolio link, and practical technical challenges — Go fundamentals, concurrency, debugging, databases, a short design question and a small piece of Go code written as plain text. Your answers go straight to HR and the engineering team.

What happens after I apply?
