Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, why, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember things between page loads — for example, that a form you are filling in belongs to you, or which cookie choice you made. "Similar technologies" includes your browser's local storage.
2. The short version
- We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies so the site and its forms work securely.
- We use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them. They are off by default.
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These are needed for the website to work and to stay secure — protecting forms against forged or automated submissions, remembering your cookie choice, and filtering malicious traffic. They do not need consent, and the site will not work properly without them.
3.2 Analytics
These help us understand how visitors use the website — which pages are read, where visitors come from, and where they leave — so we can improve it. They are set only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted.
3.3 Advertising measurement
We advertise on Google Search. With your consent, Google Ads cookies record that you arrived from one of our ads, so we can tell which ads lead to an enquiry. They are set only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. We do not use them for remarketing or personalised advertising — ad personalisation is switched off.
3.4 Functional
We do not currently set functional-preference cookies on this website.
4. The cookies this website sets
- PHPSESSID — strictly necessary, first-party. Set when you open a page that contains a form; it carries the security token that protects the form. Deleted when you close your browser.
- cookie_consent — strictly necessary, first-party. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask on every page. Lasts 12 months, after which we ask again.
- __cf_bm, cf_clearance and similar — strictly necessary, set by Cloudflare, the security and delivery network in front of this site, when it needs to tell real visitors from automated traffic. Typically 30 minutes to a few hours; they are not always set.
- _ga — analytics (Google Analytics), first-party, only if you consent. A random identifier that distinguishes one browser from another. Expires after 14 months.
- _ga_<ID> — analytics (Google Analytics), first-party, only if you consent. Keeps the state of your current visit. Expires after 14 months.
- _gcl_au — advertising measurement (Google Ads), first-party, only if you consent. Links a visit to the Google ad you clicked so an enquiry can be counted as a result of that ad. Expires after 90 days.
- _gcl_aw — advertising measurement (Google Ads), first-party, only if you consent. Stores the ad-click identifier when you arrive from a Google ad. Expires after 90 days.
Local storage. The AI Product Advisor saves your in-progress answers in your browser's local storage (key innosol_advisor_v1) so you can pick up where you left off. It stays on your device, is ignored after 7 days, and is cleared when you finish.
5. Third parties
- Google Analytics — loaded only with your consent. Google acts as our processor; Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads — loaded only with your consent, to measure which ads lead to enquiries. Remarketing and ad personalisation are switched off.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site are delivered by Google. This does not set a cookie, but your browser contacts Google's servers, which therefore see your IP address.
- Cloudflare — see the list above.
Links on this site to other websites — including our own product websites — lead to sites with their own cookies and their own policies.
6. Managing your preferences
- Cookie banner — when analytics is in use, a banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject it. Both buttons are equally easy to reach, and nothing is switched on until you choose.
- Changing your choice — use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page, or open the cookie preferences now. Choosing "Reject" turns analytics off and deletes the analytics cookies from your browser.
- Browser settings — every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop our forms from working.
- Google's opt-out add-on — tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout blocks Google Analytics on every site you visit.
7. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a rejection of analytics cookies: analytics stays off and we do not show the banner, though you can still opt in from "Cookie preferences". The older "Do Not Track" signal has no agreed standard and we do not act on it separately — analytics is off by default in any case.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we adopt new tools or as the law evolves. The "last updated" date at the top indicates the current version.
