An entrepreneur who built a company around a market
MD Abdus Samad co-founded Innovate Solution in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2013 together with Nazmus Nayeem, who leads the company's engineering as Chief Technology Officer. From the start the division of work was clear: one founder would own the technology, the other the market. Samad took the market — the customers, the commercial relationships and the decisions about where the business should grow.
For its first years the company worked as a technology provider. In 2021, by Samad's own account in a later interview, travel technology became its primary focus, and the company's flight-booking system began to grow into a full travel-technology suite under the InnoTravelTech platform. That decision shaped everything that followed: today Innovate Solution builds a twelve-product portfolio used by 6,200+ travel businesses across 40+ countries.
Experience in travel and tourism technology
Samad brings more than 14 years of experience across travel technology, marketing, business development, strategic partnerships and product innovation. His work centres on helping travel businesses — agencies, online travel agencies, travel management companies, tour operators, destination management companies, Hajj and Umrah operators and travel start-ups — modernise their operations, automate manual workflows and grow on technology rather than on headcount.
His perspective is commercial rather than technical. He does not design the platform's architecture — that belongs to the CTO and the engineering organisation in Dhaka — but he decides which problems the platform must solve for the businesses that buy it, and he is accountable for whether it does.
Understanding how travel agencies and B2B distribution work
Innovate Solution does not sell travel to the public. It sells the technology, content access and operational tooling that travel businesses use to sell to their own customers. Under Samad, every commercial conversation starts from the operator's margin, workflow and settlement rather than from a feature list: how a consolidator controls markups across a sub-agent network, how an agency reconciles supplier invoices, how an Umrah operator runs group packages that do not fit a flight-and-hotel booking model.
That operating knowledge is also why the company sells the same underlying technology in two ways. InnoTravelTech is the enterprise offering for wholesalers and larger operators that want the full stack on one platform; ReservationHub is the subscription edition for smaller agencies that want a modern booking platform without an enterprise project.
Business development and commercial strategy
Travel technology is sold twice. A platform is only worth connecting to if it carries competitive inventory, and suppliers only commit when there is real demand flowing through it. As CEO, Samad owns both sides of that equation — the partnerships that bring supply in and the customer relationships that move it out — and the commercial strategy is built around keeping the two in balance.
Market entry follows customers rather than the other way round. New regions are opened where there is already demand from operators on the platform, or from suppliers looking for distribution into that market, and the commercial organisation decides when a market justifies its own presence.
International relationships and a growing ecosystem
Samad leads the relationships that connect Innovate Solution to the wider industry: airlines and NDC carriers, global distribution systems, hotel suppliers and bed banks, payment and channel partners, and the wholesale agencies that resell the platform. The company works with 72 wholesale agencies across Pakistan, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Italy, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, each of which serves its own network of sub-agencies on the platform.
On the supply side, the platform is integrated with Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport and connects to 37 NDC airlines, more than 100 low-cost carriers and over two million hotel properties. Signing and maintaining that breadth of supply — and turning it into something a new agency can use within about a week of going live — is the commercial work behind the company's growth.
